Norwalk Community Health Center Mural
In 2010, Lizzy completed a 28-foot long mural for the Pediatric waiting room at the Norwalk Community Health Center in Norwalk, CT. Lizzy says, "The image models elements essential to the health of a child: safe and beautiful outdoor public places, exercise, fresh air and clean water, healthy food, creativity, books, relaxation, and caring attentive adults."
During construction of the center, Lizzy worked with architect, David Coffin, and designer, Laura Dimeo, to create the interior color palette for the floors, walls, cabinets and upholstery.
The center's philosophy, established by Executive Director, Larry Cross, is that a community health center should be an inviting, well-run, and dignified facility where patients receive excellent health care and wellness education, regardless of their ability to pay.
