Am I a Frog?

By Lizzy Rockwell

In Am I a Frog?  a young creature, sort of fishlike, sort of frog like, ponders his identity as he goes through astounding changes. His back and forth dialogue with an all-knowing snail will be relatable to young children as they change and grow.  Just like the froglet, our maturity and growth is defined not just by our size, but the new things we can do. Though philosophical and humorous, the scientific facts of amphibian metamorphosis are clearly explained and illustrated in this inviting picture book.

Part of the award-winning I Like to Read series from Holiday House, this book is a guided level G, perfect for early first graders to proudly read for themselves. It also makes a great read aloud for story time.
